The Beginning
The Happy Ginger was born out of the want and need to upcycle or recycle the beautiful things around us. Stopping on the side of the road, to rescue a piece of furniture headed for the landfill, gives us those happy feel-good tingles. Add in the hunt for a good deal - we attend many local auctions, estate and rummage sales. Top it off with our love of new and old art and jewelry, and you come up with a curated collection of items that we think will appeal to most people. Honestly, if we could just keep it all, we would - there’s just not enough room!
Where we’ve been
We’ve been dabbling in retail and re-sell for years. Our ‘re-sell’ efforts haven’t been keeping pace with our ‘collecting’ efforts so we are going to try a few new things that include online sales and online auctions.
Stay tuned as we build this website and figure out the retail and auction processes. We are optimistic about our future and we are passionate about the items we save/buy/collect.
